Antenatal Clinic
Please note that your first appointment will be at a local clinic (0151 430 1234) and thereafter you will be seen at the surgery on a Tuesday 9am to 1pm (by appointment) Patients are seen by the midwife at the clinics by appointment. We now have a pregnancy testing service and once you have the result of your test you can make an appointment directly with the midwife.
Practice Nurse Clinics
Our practice nurses, Nurse Sue Watson and Nurse Carolann Morgan are available to see all patients and appointments may be made between the hours of 8.00am and 6.30pm. They will be happy to see patients for the following:
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
This is run by the practice nurse in conjunction with the doctors and is by appointment only. Our aim is to help people with this condition to understand and manage their problems and treatment so they can maintain the best possible health.
Cytology Clinic
Please make an appointment to see any of our practice nurses.
Well Woman, Family Planning and Contraceptive Advice/Services
Travel Immunisation/Updating of Immunisations
Please make an appointment with one of the practice nurses. You should be seen at least six weeks in advance of your holiday to ensure adequate cover. Please note some immunisations may encounter a charge.
Well Person Medicals
If you have not seen a doctor within the last three years but would like a well person medical for peace of mind, please ask at reception for an appointment with one of our practice nurses.
Senior Citizens
If you are over the age of 75 and would like to have a medical check, please make an appointment at reception. If you are housebound, we will arrange for one of our practice nurses to visit you at home.
Flu Vaccination
An influenza vaccination is particularly recommended for patients who are pregnant, with heart, lung or kidney disease or diabetes, residents of nursing and rest homes AND ANYONE OVER THE AGE OF 65. Please contact the reception staff in October for details of the vaccination dates to make an appointment. If you are unable to attend the surgery, a home visit will be arranged to undertake this facility.
Asthma
This is run by the practice nurse in conjunction with the doctors and is by appointment only. We aim to help people with this condition to understand and manage their problems and treatment so they can maintain the best possible health.

If you are an Asthma Sufferer please remember to bring your inhaler with you when you have an appointment with a practice nurse for your Asthma Review.
Alcohol Counselling
If you feel you need to talk to someone concerning your alcohol consumption the doctors or nurses will make arrangements to talk to you and give any advice they can to you concerning alcohol reduction.
Breast Screening
All our female patients aged between 50 up to their 71st birthday are invited for mammography screening every three years.
District Nurses
Prescot Primary Care Resource Centre
- Phlebotomy (Blood Tests) - Monday to Friday 8.30am to 12.15pm (all Phlebotomy appointments need to be pre-booked as patients will not be seen without an appointment)

Diabetes/Hypertension Clinic
This is run by the practice nurses in conjunction with the doctors and is by appointment only. The clinic offers patients with diabetes regular specialist medical and nursing care. Patients will have their initial appointment with him and continuous treatment and advice will be carried out by the practice nurses.
Chlamydia Testing
Please make an appointment with our Practice Nurse for Chlamydia testing. Confidentiality is adhered to at all times.
Park House Medical Centre are pleased to announce that they are partnered with Signalise, a local sign language company that is owned and run by local interpreters and Deaf users.
The Practice is able to access video or face to face calls with interpreters. Please contact Reception for more information or to book.
